This privacy policy regulates our use of the data you provide us. It is meant to facilitate your understanding of our commitment to comply with your data rights and explain accordingly our use thereof. We intend this policy to be in line with prevailing law, mainly the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (“GDPR”).


Personal data is only obtained when voluntarily submitted, such as when visitors register an online account, subscribe to our newsletter, apply for a Privilege Card, make an order, purchase products or request services. Vee Gee Bee will use such personal information only for the purposes for which it is provided namely:

-For the purpose of benefiting from our art loyalty scheme – VGB Artist or Teacher Privilege Scheme.

-For the purpose of our newsletter and mailing list in order to receive emails with news on products, events, courses and offers.

-For the purpose of providing a service relating to any purchase you made from our company in store or online.

-For the purpose of ordering something specifically for you.

-For the purpose of replacing or repairing a product bought from our company.

-For the purpose of attending a course or event organised by us.

In the case of the Art Loyalty Scheme, your data is registered in your online account either by yourself on our website or when you fill up our manual Privilege Card form for us to create the account for you. In both instances you must first give us your consent and you will also receive an email for you to personally activate your account accordingly.


Your data, as provided by yourself, will be received and accessed by our company’s officers and employees involved in one of the purposes referred above. Said persons are bound by confidentiality obligations to our company.

We do not sell or disclose your data to any third parties. However, with regards to our website, newsletter and mailing list, third party service providers involved in our information technology setup may receive your details exclusively for the purposes of allowing the same setup to function accordingly and allowing us to fulfil the purposes above. Such third party service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations towards our company and they process your data exclusively for the purposes of this policy. These third party service companies are primarily Shireburn Software Ltd. for website maintenance, development and hosting; Think Design Ltd for email marketing; Endeavour Internet Business Solutions for Payment Gateway transactions; and Vodafone Malta Ltd for SMS messaging.


While Vee Gee Bee does not obtain personal information from visitors to its Web sites unless it is voluntarily provided to us, we do use "cookies" and other technology to record certain non-personal information. This information is used to provide an enhanced online experience for the visitor, and may include the type of browser being used by the visitor (e.g., Google Chrome, Internet Explorer), the type of operating system being used by the visitor (e.g., Mac, Windows), etc. Non-personal information may also be used to count the number of visitors to the sites, but only in an aggregate form that does not personally identify any visitor. Likewise, personal information that is provided to us voluntarily may be aggregated and used for marketing, advertising, and other purposes in a manner that does not disclose the personal information of any individuals.


Our website may from time to time contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy applicable to the website in question.


The data you provided will be retained for as long as you wish to allow us for the purposes referred above. All accounting data will be retained for 10 years as per our legal obligations.

With regards to the Art Loyalty Scheme, if there are no transactions effected by you in the last 8 years, we will remove your data from the scheme. Note however, that if at any point you want to remove your data from our database, you can simply hit UNSUBSCRIBE at the bottom of any one of our emailed newsletters. You may also send an email to indicating that you want your data to be removed and we will delete all records accordingly.

The above is without prejudice to our obligations at law to provide data as requested, for example to law enforcement or judicial authorities.


When your data is processed based on your consent, you may inform us that you wish to withdraw your consent at any time at which point we will not process your data any longer. Without withdrawing your consent, you may also request us to stop processing the data you provided in accordance with the GDPR.
